Is to read an obligation or a pleasure?

To read has been to he past of years the major symbol of knowledge. In the Median Age, only monks were reading. So, we can consider reading the major way to know. Because of it same students have to learn reading to themselves for pleasure. But everybody know young people don't read so much, so they have to read obligatory many essential and basic books.

For this reason, actually the majority of students say that they do not like to read obligatory books, but it was because of the theme of these knowledges objects? I think we could find that answer in prejudices of people.

Furthermore of this we could accept that these young (and in general) people don't want to read something imposed, something obligatory because it means no read for pleasure and automatically they do a relation matching an obligatory book to bored.

Nowadays, people read less and less possibly because of the improvement of new technologies that consume their time, possible because there isn't an interesting thing to them.

Nonetheless there are some people who love this activity of knowledge and wants to conquer the world of a book reading few lines of some pages. These kind of people, reduced at the past of time, is considered the the saviours of this species in extinction.

"The literature doesn't want followers, wants lovers."

- Federico Garcia Lorca

I agree with you, nowadays every time people reads less. Reading is associated with the obligation, when for me reading is pleasure.
I think that if you read a good book is one of the best entertainment. I like so much reading but my problem is that I don't have time!!

Good luck!!
